FAQs

1. General Questions

What is Kay's Curries?

Our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.

What makes Kay's Curries different from other meal kits?

Every kit is top-9 allergen-free, seed oil-free, gluten-free, and made without artificial flavors or added colors. We make our kits small-batch at Hope & Main in Warren, RI, using clean ingredients. Most meal kits on the market can't say any of that.

Who are Kay's Curries meal kits for?

Anyone who wants fast, healthy, real food. Busy professionals who need dinner in 20 minutes. Plant-based eaters who want bold flavor without seed oils. Families managing food allergies. Outdoor explorers who need a lightweight, packable meal. If you want authentic Indian food without the hours of prep, these kits are for you.

What products do you offer?

Individual meals: Chicken Biryani, Vegetable Biryani, Tofu Biryani, Masala Kichadi, Pav Bhaji, Pappu Dal.

Meal boxes: Curated multi-kit sets — perfect for sampling or gifting.

Meal add-ons: Omni-Masala spice blend, Malabar Coffee, Rose Sugar, Cardamom Sugar.

Are your products spicy?

It depends on the kit. Masala Kichadi is our mildest. Pav Bhaji is medium. All Biryanis are moderately spicy. Pappu Dal is mild and savory. To reduce heat, pair any dish with plain yogurt, coconut yogurt, or raita.

Are your meal kits beginner-friendly?

Yes. Every kit comes with step-by-step instructions. If it's your first time cooking indian food, you'll be fine. One pot, clear steps, no guesswork.

What inspired you to start Kay's Curries?

Kay's Curries was born from a personal need. Founder Kalpana Kethineedi was working long hours and couldn't find healthy, authentic Indian food that fit her dietary needs. Takeout wasn't cutting it. She started making her mother'srecipes in a format anyone could cook at home — and Kay's Curries was born.Read Kalpana's full story here: kayscurries.com/pages/about-kalpana
