Kay's Story

Kay's Curries was born out of a need I had inspired by the dry American soup mixes. Just add water and cook. Our meals are all natural with no preservatives and cater to most dietary restrictions - vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, and sesame-free. They are also great for camping and traveling.

Vegetable Biryani, Masala Kichadi, Pappu Dal, Kesar Halwa, and 2 oz of Masala Tea.

How many servings do I get?
Vegetable Biryani serves 2, Masala Kichadi serves 2, and Pappu Dal serves 4. That's 8 servings, plus dessert and chai.

How long does it take to cook?
Vegetable Biryani and Masala Kichadi take about 15 minutes each on the stovetop. Pappu Dal takes about 30 minutes.

How spicy is it?
On a scale of 1 to 5: Masala Kichadi and Pappu Dal are 1, not spicy. Vegetable Biryani is 3, medium.

What else do I need?
Water and a pot for each kit. Pappu Dal is lovely over steamed rice, which isn't included. See the Kesar Halwa page for what to add to the dessert.

Is it vegetarian?
Yes. All three meal kits are fully vegan, and no meat or protein needs to be added.

Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. Choose Yes, red gift box and we'll pack it in our red gift box for $5. Gift boxes are on pre-order and ship October 26 to 31. Add a gift note at checkout and we'll print it on a card. Prices never appear on the packing slip.
